He was surrendered to the rescue due to his family not having enough time to spend with him. He is full grown and weighs approximately 50-60 pounds. Storm is vet checked, fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and started on her flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Storm does very well with other dogs and loves to play! He has lots of puppy energy and loves to play "tag" and wrestle around with the others. He can be a little overbearing for the very small dogs (under 10 pounds) so he may do best without them in the home. Storm has also been introduced to cats and he was very curious and seemed to want to play with them. Storm can be a little bit aloof to start off with, but he is friendly and loves everyone just the same! He is a lot of puppy yet, and can be overwhelming for the elderly or for the younger kids. With his higher energy level, he would do best with kids over the age of 7 years, however, with more training, he would be awesome with any age of children. Storm is kennel trained and believed to be house trained. You do need to watch him for marking, but a few quick corrections and the behavior goes away. Storm is working on his leash skills and learning not to pull, as well as working on his basic commands. He is super smart, but also very stubborn! Storm loves to snuggle and hang out, but he also enjoys being able to run and burn off energy at the dog park or in a securely fenced in yard. Storm would love to have an active family who is willing to give him the training and direction to turn his puppy energy into an amazing dog!
